The Biden administration extended the pause on federal student loan payments to January 31, 2022. Originally set to expire at the end of September 2021, the student loan moratorium will continue to suspend payments, interest, and collections on most federal student loans. It has been stated that this will be the “final” student loan relief extension; borrowers should expect to set a plan for their payments resuming by February 2022.
Check with your loan provider to confirm and plan your repayment process if you haven’t already.
